Who must be trained?

All professionals of the naval and offshore industries, including crew members of all levels and onshore personnel associated to the HSE area and alike. The protection of the maritime environment depends on the most extensive knowledge possible on MARPOL International Standards and its Good Practices.

Which is our differential?

The MTI and VICEL Group have, together, over 100 years of combined experience in the naval and offshore industries.
At MTI, Commanders Hiller and Bob Hall (US Navy) have related themselves with training pursuant to MARPOL requirements for the last 5 years. At VICEL Commander Carvalho Rocha (Brazilian Navy, see Résumé in Our Team section) has already been one of the Brazilian representatives before IMO and holds relations with MARPOL for the last 10 years. Our training technology, both upon classroom attendance and computer based, ensure the state of the art, including lectures, games, assessments and full interactivity to ensure the full understanding of students and Maximum return to our clients.

Why use our training products?

The society, through its inspecting agents, is progressively imposing with more severity compliance with MARPOL requirements upon the economic exploration of the oceanic resources, be it in the naval or in the offshore industry. In Brazil, this inspection is under the responsibility of the Brazilian Navy, through a DPC - Department of Ports and Coasts. At the global level, many operating companies received fines of over USD 10 M (Ten million US Dollars) due to failure to comply with the requirements. Our training programs can generate effective savings by the full understanding of the Standards and risks due to non compliance.
